Shakespeare In The Park
Saturday 13th July @2.30pm.
Entry free to Festival Plus Pass holders. Limited idividual tickets on sale at £25.
Shakespeare’s last, and great, play is a triumphant compilation of intrigue, magic, and humour. Prospero, an exiled Duke with supernatural powers, creates a great storm which sees his enemies shipwrecked on his island. Magic abounds, plots are exposed, and a colourful array of characters gain their deserts. Fascinating entertainment.
Performed with gusto by The Festival Players, an all-male cast. Patron: Dame Judi Dench.
WET WEATHER CONTINGENCY- All events scheduled for the Priory Gardens on Saturday 13th July are moving to MARLBOROUGH TOWN HALL Assembly Room due to the weather forecast. All timings remain the same.
Now, this is a special treat: Bringing the West End musical theatre to the Priory Gardens.
During the interval for The Tempest, the audience will be serenaded by The Sing Space.
This Marlborough-born, global success story will treat festival-goers to standards and favourites from musical theatre.
