Gavin Osborn is one of those acts you wish you’d discovered sooner.
He has spent 2 decades entertaining audiences in UK, Europe and Australia with his deft lyricism, evocative heartwarming storytelling and quick wit.
Familiar to BBC Radio 4 and 6Music listeners - the Observer called his album Echo Bridge “one of the year’s most relatable releases”.
A regular of UK festivals (Latitude, Green Man, End of The Road), He co-wrote the 'Stories For The Starlit Sky' trilogy and 'The Ballad of Roger and Grace', story-song shows with comedian Daniel Kitson which toured in the UK and Australia.
Gavin is currently working on his seventh record, with his band The Comment Section. That band features just one man, the irreplaceable multi-instrumentalist John Hare.
“Completely wonderful. A genuine, wistful treat for anyone finding themselves past thirty and seeking a soundtrack to a good brew.” – The Quietus
“Gavin Osborn writes minutely detailed, bittersweet story songs and sings them with a comic timing usually absent from his anti-folk contemporaries” - Stewart Lee, The Sunday Times
“Processes his anger into a kind of likeably grumpy bewilderment and uses it to unite his audience. One of the year’s most relatable releases” – The Observer
“Simultaneously hilarious and heart-rending songs” - Independent Weekly
“a brilliantly accomplished singer-songwriter with touchingly quirky lyrics” – Chortle
