Historical Walks
Historical Marlborough
Saturday 13th July at 5pm, on the steps of theTown Hall. Ends At St Peter’s Church.
Hidden Marlborough
Sunday 14th July at 10.30am, outside the Castle & Ball Hotel.
Marlborough is absolutely soaking with history, a lot of it completely unknown to locals and outsiders alike.
Local historian extraordinaire Nick Baxter https://wiltshirehistoryman.org.uk/ has devised 2 guided walks especially for Marlborough Festival.
Everyone is welcome. Free to all wristband holders.
Each walk is devised to be suitable for all ages, be less than a mile in distance, and take around an hour to complete. Best of all, Nick will feed you fact nuggets that will keep you ooh-ing and ah-ing till dinner time.
Sunday’s Hidden Marlborough Walk ends at the Food Gallery www.thefoodgallery.co.uk where walkers can enjoy the insanely good secret-blend coffee, and leaf through the book of Marlborough’s hidden and historical treasures, by local photographer Bob Holman. Bob will be signing copies 11am-12pm on Sunday. For more see www.bobholmanphotography.co.uk.
